How do I apply to DM in ALFA ?

The DM Application process is straightforward. Any ALFAn in good standing, who has been a member for sixty days, may fill out the Application Form. Applicants may specify their interest in a particular server, or may prefer to make a general application and see if any server team is interested in having them join. The Application is automatically forwarded to the appropriate parties, who will discuss it and may contact the Applicant seeking clarification if required. The DM Administrator makes the appointment, on the recommendation of the Head DM of whichever server the Applicant is to join. For the purpose of DM Applications, ‘good standing’ means a member without a formal strike entered against them; in exceptional circumstances, a first strike may be waived for the purpose of the Application. No ALFAn with two extant strikes may serve as a Dungeon Master. Please note that the absence of formal censure does not effect the right of the DM Administrator to reject a DM Application.

• Q: What if I am a returning DM?
• A: You still need to send in an application, but don't worry about all of the questions. Just make sure that you indicate your prior experience DMing in ALFA, and if you have a current DM providing a reference for you. Also, don't forget to add any questions you have for DMA Staff, and to agree to learn and abide by our Standards!
   
• Q: Can I request a specific server team to join?
• A: Yes
   
• Q: What if I don't have a specific server I want to be on?
• A: If you don't have an overwhelming desire for a specific server, you will be given the option of the server teams who need the most help. You and the server teams can decide amongst yourselves. It's your call.
   
• Q: Will I get feedback on my application?
• A: Yes. Even if your application is declined, you will receive a polite note. You should also receive a confirmation of receipt when you turn in your application.
   
• Q: What if I just have some questions?
• A: PM DMA or his Staff and ask anything you want. The Team will provide you with answers in a timely fashion.
